Campus Activities
Much learning takes place in the classroom, but learning at Haven of Peace Academy does not end in the classroom!

After-school times at HOPAC are almost as busy as the school day.  Students busy themselves with baking cookies, making models, playing sports, practicing with puppets, preparing for dramatic productions, editing the yearbook, or singing in a choir.

Students have amazing opportunities for service-learning integrated into their curriculum, which will lead to activities both on campus and into the community.

Students also have wonderful opportunities for field trips off campus to make their learning practical.  To the beach for a study on particle size relative to its position on the beach. To Morogoro for a river study and a visit to a sisal farm.  To Bagamoyo or Kilwa for a study on Tanzanian history. To Amani Rainforest to study a different ecosystem.  The possibilities are ever-increasing.

The activities program at HOPAC has grown quickly in the last few years thanks to parent and staff volunteers. We continue to strive for additional opportunities to strengthen students' minds, hearts, and
bodies.
